Peter deBaptiste was born and raised in Delray Beach, Florida (on Seabreeze Avenue) where he developed a passion for the ocean and for business. During his career Peter recognized that Florida was underserved by traditional capital, despite great talent and promising growth trends. His mission is to boost capital opportunities and entrepreneurial activity in his native state.
Peter served as President of Delivery Dudes for six years where he helped navigate a competitive battle against venture-backed behemoths, reversing double-digit revenue declines and transitioning the company from large losses to profitability. He led an executive team and implemented the EOS management system, improving company execution and alignment. Peter led a sale process resulting in a $23mm exit to a publicly traded competitor in 2021.
Prior to Delivery Dudes, Peter was a lower middle market lender at Comerica Bank. With a portfolio of 15 clients representing $100mm of loan commitments, he provided working capital and equipment loans to family-owned businesses and financed buyouts. Peter graduated with a degree in Finance from UF with a 4.0 GPA.
Peter lives in Boynton Beach, Florida with his wife Brittany and son Wesley.
